Expedited Mail Service (EMS)

The EMS was commissioned for business in April 1990 with the aim of providing the quickest postal service by physical means or to provide a fast courier service to our contract customers and the general public.

SERVICES
EMS basically provides two types of service, that is the On Demand and Contract Services

ON DEMAND
On Demand items are accepted from the public without any formal contractual agreement. The items are however presented at the counter.

CONTRACT SERVICE
With the contract service, items are accepted on the basis of a contract between the sender and EMS. This service is of immense benefit to firms that post important documents and packets regularly. The EMS also offer other services like:

i) Pick up collection and delivery services.
ii) Special distribution on a contract basis.

All these services are offered at a competitive rate. Above all we tailor our services to suit our customers.

CUSTOMER-CARE INFORMATION

Customers are expected to provide sufficient detailed and current addresses (residential or offices addresses) indicating house numbers, street names, land marks, box numbers and telephone numbers for prompt and easy delivery. Items must packed and closed in a manner befitting the weight, shape and nature of the contents.

All breakable or fragile items must be packed in foamed envelopes or boxes well protected to withstand the "shocks and knocks" during transmission. There should be sufficient space on packets for service instructions and affixing of labels. Contents of foreign items must be declared at the counter to facilitate customs examinations and procedures.

DELIVERY

Customers are to provide identification such as; -Passport -Authority from addressee or introductory note from a recognised public officer. -Driving license -Student I.D. card from a recognised educational institution to the delivery officer.
